There is an article on al.com where Alabama Governor has finally looked at polling data where 74% of the people want to vote on a lottery.
Well Governor, at Dobb’s BBQ in Dothan when you were struggling to become Alabama Governor, you stated you were for the people voting on electronic bingo. That comment was when you were surrounded by supporters of Country Crossings.
Well Guv...you proved to be like all other politicians, tell the people what they want to hear in order to get elected, but then they can kiss your tush until time to tell more political lies to get elected.
Now, since you told the lie four years ago right here in Houston County Alabama, and since you now see polling data that the people want to vote...
Start a new trend NOT EVER DONE before by a politician...do what you say you are going to do!!! And let the people vote.
But until then... you are just one of those politicians who can lie with a straight face!
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - Gov. Robert Bentley today in a radio interview revealed that his own polling shows Alabamians overwhelmingly support a lottery.
And that includes Republicans.
Appearing on the Matt Murphy Show on WAPI Bentley said this:
"Seventy-four percent of people want a vote on the lottery. Sixty percent of Republicans want to so I know it’s a popular issue," Bentley told Murphy during an hour-long interview.
It marked the first time I’ve heard the governor use his campaign polling data when talking about a lottery.
