HARTFORD, Ala. — Wiregrass Electric Cooperative celebrated over Half – A – Million no lost time on Good Friday April 3, 2015. WEC questions why stop there? Wiregrass Electric Cooperative has teamed up with the Geneva County Local Emergency Planning Committee to play a MAYDAY drill for today April 9, 2015 at the Wiregrass Electric Training Facility in Hartford. Drill participants to meet at 9:00 am in the community room at Wiregrass Electric for a safety meeting with the actual drill exercise to start around 9:30. All units involved in the drill will be directed to the staging area at the National Guard Armory in Hartford.
This drill exercise scenario will include the following:
-Wiregrass Electric
-Wiregrass Medical Center -Geneva County Schools
-Geneva County EMA
-Geneva County E-911
-Geneva County Volunteer Fire Fighters Assn.
-Geneva County Fire Departments
-Geneva County EMS Departments
-Geneva County Law Enforcement
-AIRHeart
Wiregrass Electric Dispatch will activate their MAYDAY procedures and 911 will dispatch FIRE, EMS, and LAW units that are in the staging area.
