On Saturday, March 22nd, Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity will be raising the walls in Dothan with Covenant United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church Dothan, and First United Methodist Church for the McKenzie family at 606 Chinook Street.
Covenant United Methodist, First Baptist Church Dothan, First United Methodist Church as well as many other churches will work hand in hand with the McKenzie family, whose home was destroyed when a tree fell on it due to high winds. The McKenzies, along with friends and family, will devote 500 hours of sweat equity to their home and other Habitat homes, as well as complete 50 hours of classes including financial management, home maintenance and home ownership.
The achievement of a Habitat home for the McKenzies would not be possible without the generosity of local churches and groups. We would like to thank the following for working with us to make this dream possible for the McKenzies: Covenant United Methodist, First Baptist Dothan, First United Methodist Dothan, and Lowe’s as well as other churches and businesses.
