Woman Arrested for Murder

On 02/09/2017 at approximately 01:30 a.m. Patrol Units were dispatched to an edged weapon assault in the 300 block of Mona Drive. Responding Officers located the victim, identified as Devontay Vashon Davis, in an upstairs portion of the apartment suffering from a stab wound to the upper torso.
Paramedics transported Mr. Davis to a local hospital where he passed away from the injuries he sustained.
Investigators have arrested and charged 21 year old Cedricka Jacole Thornton, of Mona Drive, with Murder. Bond has been set at $60,000.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
