Woman Charged with Possession of listed Chemicals and Child abuse

On 10/09/14 Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2700 block of Canniehead Road, Campbellton, Florida to assist the Department of Children and Families (DCF). According to DCF they had received reports of alleged drug abuse in the hoe where multiple children are present. A search of the house was conducted and located in one of the bedroom hidden in a plastic container was listed chemicals used to make methamphetamine.
During the course of the investigation it was discovered that the aforementioned items belonged to Erika Rogers. Among the items found was a clear liquid substance inside a Pepsi bottle. The Jackson County Drug task Force was contacted and responded to the scene. The clear liquid substance was determined to be muriatic acid.
Rogers was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
