To be educators, it is amazing how stupid they can be.
HUNTSVILLE: At last night's Huntsville school board meeting, Eddgra Fallin was removed by school officials and police after she began livestreaming the meeting on Facebook with her phone.
The video has since been viewed nearly 5,000 times on Facebook.
"As I indicated last night, I was not violating any written rules, nor did I violate any law," said Fallin this morning. "The board room was practically empty. Prior to me being kicked out, aisles were full of people taking pictures and video of the college academy presentation and they were invited and encouraged to do so."
The citizen comments portion of the public meeting had just started and three citizens, including Fallin, were scheduled to speak, she said.
In the video, the first speaker, a representative from the Von Braun Astronomical Society, begins to talk about an upcoming event when Huntsville City Schools officials, including security officers and district spokesman Keith Ward ask Fallin to sit down, and then leave.
"I am not doing anything," Fallin tells them. "No, I don't want to have a seat. Do I have to sit down, officer?"
Security officers and eventually at least two members of the Huntsville Police Department escort Fallin out of the room.
