Woman Seriously Injured In Jackson County Crash

A 2008 Hyundai Accent was traveling westbound on I-10 (State Road 8) at Mile Marker 154 in the inside lane. The Accent traveled from the inside westbound lane into the grass median before the driver of the Accent attempted to steer the vehicle back to the right causing it to over-correct to the right. After over-correcting, the vehicle rotated clockwise and overturned several times traveling westbound from the grass median, across both westbound lanes and onto the North paved shoulder. The vehicle came to final rest on its roof facing northeast on the North paved shoulder. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital by Jackson County Fire/Rescue with minor injuries. The right front passenger of the vehicle was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital via AirHeart 2 Helicopter with serious injuries. The passenger of the vehicle Ivettte Baez, 40, of Coral Springs, Florida was seriously injured in the crash.
