Kinston, AL: Late last night, Kinston Fire responded to a reported woods fire on Alabama State Highway 52 near the Covington County line. When the Kinston Fire Engine arrived, it was discovered there was a small woods fire that had started from a trash pile fire. The trash pile had gotten out of hand and caught the nearby woods on fire. Kinston Fire quickly extinguished the fire and returned to service. Kinston Police Officer Jim Mock also responded to the scene. I should have gotten a picture of Officer Mock rolling the hose back up!
