There is an existing stereotype that teenagers have an apathetic attitude toward most subjects. Despite this belief, one fourteen-year-old member of the Wicksburg High School Robotics Team disagrees. On Friday, October 10, attendees of the annual Wounded Warrior Hunt at Fort Rucker learned about the BEST robotics program. The member went to feed the soldiers lunch with his family. After feeding them lunch, he drove the robot around the pavilion. The robot he took was not their competition robot, but a rocking robot from the shop. He talked to the soldiers about robotics and the competition, which is November 8th at 9:00AM at the Ozark Civic Center. He also explained to them how the robot works. They found this very interesting, and asked many questions about both the robot and the BEST robotics competition.
