SEAL Cares & Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no kill shelter, dedicated to saving animals. Our mission is to rescue abandoned, abused and injured animals; rehabilitate them, have them vaccinated spayed or neutered; and find loving, adoptive homes. As of right now, we have 24 horses in our care. Our dream is to be able to help every animal but as of right now, we can only care for horses.

As we prepare for winter, we are in desperate need of: Hay Feed (14% co-op brand and senior feed-also at the co-op) The Co Op is located across from Southern Bone and Joint on the circle

Alfalfa cubes ( found at Tractor supply or Co Op) Horse blankets and sheets

 

In order to take care of our horses for the winter, we will need approximately 100 round bales of hay. (each bale can range from $40.00-$50.00)

 

One of our current residents, Lucky, needs surgery to correct her club feet. Lucky desperately needs this surgery but it will cost $1,000.00. We have a vet in Auburn that will take her case but not only will she require surgery, she will have to see the Ferrier every 2 weeks for new shoes/splints and possibly undergo therapy.
