On August 16 everyone in attendance at the Geneva County Extension Grass Roots Meeting was given a real treat when Covington County's Miss Petite Heart of the USA,Victoria Zinn, sang and presented some of our local 4H members.Geneva County Advisory Council Members,Community Leaders,Elected Officials,Volunteers,and Community Stakeholders were in attendance.The Grass Roots Meeting will result in a plan to provide programs that address the expressed needs of Geneva County and Wiregrass citizens.The Alabama Cooperative Extension System developes programs to help Alabamians improve quality of life.The Miss Heart of the USA pageant program,which Victoria is a member of, teaches young women the importance of giving back to their community.This is a food drive pageant and collects donations for food banks but encourages participation in all aspects of community groweth and service.Victoria has participated in many community services and encourages all young people to get out and do the same.
