The Emassee-Robert Grierson Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a Dothan women’s service organization committed to historic preservation, promotion of education and patriotic endeavor, will host Lee Sentell, director of the Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travel at its 11:30 a.m. meeting on Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Dothan Country Club, 200 S. Cherokee Ave. Sentell will present a program on the “Sweet Home Alabama” tourism campaign that he launched ba sed on the first line of the Lynard Skynard song where, “Turn it up!” is shouted. Sentell is tireless working to magnify Alabama’s charms from beaches to mountains. Named one of the top three tourism directors in America during 2011, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to meet Lee Sentell nor hear him speak. Lunch is $15 per person.
