The Douglas family is a long time farming family known not only in Kinsey but throughout Houston and Henry Counties if not more. Phillip was seriously injured in an accident recently, with several surgeries and long extended hospital care the financial situation is enormous. A fundraiser benefit will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Kinsey Fire Station, 6188 Walden Drive, Kinsey, Alabama. It will begin with a 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 A.M. Fun-filled activities will begin at the Fire Station at 10:00 A.M. with inflatables for the kids, business vendors, arts and crafts, Zumba, hay maze, cotton candy, pony rides, entertainment throughout the day, hamburgers and hot dogs. Auction begins at 4:00 P.M. Boston Butts, Ribs and fried/smoked turkeys (pre-sold tickets only) All proceeds will go to help this "Peanut Luvin' Farmer.
