The Wiregrass Spay Neuter Alliance is please to announce that we have received a grant from the ASPCA.  The grant is to provide CAT Spay/Neuter Surgeries and a Rabies Vaccination for $20 for individuals on ANY Government Assistance Program.  This includes but not limited to: Food Stamps, Medicaid, T.A.N.F., WIC, Disability and Social Security. Cat owners who qualify and wish to take advantage of this offer must mention the “CAT”tastic Grant promotion when they call to schedule their appointment.  The promotion is based on availability.  Appointments are limited and must be made in advance by calling Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance at 334-671-8111.  Every spring and summer, local animal shelters and rescue groups are flooded with thousands of kittens.  Nikki Wyatt, Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance Director, says, “Our goal as an organization is to eliminate pet overpopulation in our community by offering quality, affordable spay/neuter for as many animals as possible in Dothan and the surrounding communities.  Since female cats can have up to 4 litters a year and can go into heat as early as 6 months old, our “CAT”tastic promotion is a great way to reach out to the community and prevent unwanted litters.”  WSNA advocates early age spay/neuter and will accept any puppy or kitten that is at least 3 months old and over three pounds.  WSNA believes that all animals should receive the highest quality veterinary care possible.  The Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance is a state-of-the-art veterinary facility.  All spay/neuter surgeries are performed by qualified, licensed veterinarians and all patients receive conscientious quality care.  Since opening in 2009, the clinic has performed over 26,000 surgeries.  For more information about spay/neuter appointments, call 334-671-8111 or check the group’s website at http://wiregrassspayneuter.org.
