On October 19, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest, following the recent investigation of an assault complaint that occurred in the 700 block of Virginia Drive.

Investigators say that on October 18, 2013 Randy Franklin assaulted the victim, a 44 year old male, following a verbal argument. The assault caused serious physical injuries to the victim, which required extensive medical attention.

Franklin was taken into custody at his home and charged with second degree Assault. His arrest now brings this case to a close.

Randy Lee Franklin, white male, 32 years of age, of Virginia Avenue was arrested and charged with second degree Assault. A bond amount has been set at $2,500. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
