Tonight I Was Blessed By A Story Broadcast On WTVY

ZION CHAPEL:   Tonight I watched a story on WTVY TV that made be beam with joy and excitement.

 

On Thanksgiving Day I was in Alachua ( Gainesville ) Florida at the motocross races with my 14 year old son and friends. I received a text message that a 8 year girl was in an ATV accident and was being airlifted to a Dothan hospital. We had just grilled our Thanksgiving dinner in the campground when I received the text.

 

I went into the camper and posted the article about the accident.

 

I went back outside and we started eating. I received additional text messages the little 8 year old had very little outward damage but was on a respirator and intubated. Her condition was critical.

 

Seconds after reading the text I looked at the 6 kids with us sitting and laughing at the picnic table eating, laughing and having a good time. I then thought of this precious little girl fighting for her life. I then received another text message giving me more updates.

 

I then told the adults I was with I would be right back. I had to go to the camper and put up a prayer request for this child. That if she died and I had not taken the time to ask people for prayer, then I had not done what I should.

 

I went in the motorhome and asked for prayer for this little girl. She was transferred to Birmingham. As the week progressed we received emails asking for updates. I did not know this little angel or her family. So I asked on this web site and got email updates, to include some from her parents.

 

Tonight when I saw this little angel on WTVY at her school, walking with a walker but with a smile, it thrilled me.

 

It did not thrill me that I put the article for prayer, and was one of many that did through social media. But thrilled me in the evidence that prayer works. That hundreds of people had lifted this 8 year old girl that we did not know up to the Heavenly Father in prayer, and HE answered that prayer.

 

While I am often times not the Christian example I should be. One thing I know for sure from walks in my life, prayer works. And I know from issues in my life, when this web site, facebook, twitter and other social media outlets get the messages out and Christians pray, GOD listens.

 

And tonight, 8 year old Halee Deal of Zion Chapel is a direct product of answered prayer.

 

Haylee, our prayer is for your continued improvement and we hope you have a very Merry CHRISTmas!

 

Thanks to WTVY for airing the feature of Halee at school. I for one was blessed by it.
