Illegal Hunting Charges Filed

JACKSON COUNTY FL:   Florida Fish and Wildlife and Cottondale Police stopped a vehicle late at night. The stop was after seeing a spotlight shine a peanut field with their headlights.


 


On the stop the officers found weapons and deer kits. The trunk was lined with plastic. Three people, 21 year old William Cody Tillery, 20 year old Brandon Leigh Smith and 19 year old Lindsey Brook Holloway were in the vehicle.


 


According to law enforcement, Smith and Tillery admitted they had been hunting at night.


 


Investigation started. Alabama Game and Fish was called in. Others and evidence was located, according to law enforcement.


 


Other arrests have been made for illegal hunting.


 


Lindsay Brooke Holloway of Troy was arrested for taking deer illegally, four counts.


 


Dustin Chase Parker of Dothan was arrested for taking deer illegally – 9 counts, taking wildlife from a roadway – 4 counts, and criminal mischief – 1 count.


 


William Cody Tillery  of Dothan was charged with 8 counts of taking deer illegally.


 


Brandon Leigh Smith of Dothan was charged with 11 counts of taking deer illegally, 3 counts of taking wildlife from a roadway, and one count of criminal mischief.


 


All cases are in Jackson County Florida.
