 Adelaide L. Hempstead passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at SE Alabama Medical Center, Dothan.  She was 80.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Enterprise with Dr. Danny Wiggins officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  American Cancer Society, % Linda Andress, PO Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36331.

Mrs. Hempstead was preceded in death by her husband, William Hempstead and a sister Maxine Masterio.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbielee Hawn (Ralph), Enterprise; 2 sons, James Hempstead, Enterprise, William Hempstead (Margaret), East Rockaway, NY; 5 grandchildren, Lexington Hawn, William Hempstead, Theresa Hempstead, Stevie Everhart (Richard), Ashley Patterson (Andrew); great-grandson, Benjamin Everhart; sister, Carolyn Penman (John).
