Adell Willis Walker of Browns Cross Roads Community, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Extendicare Health Center. She was 94 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Wilmore officiating.  Burial will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, prior to service time.

Adell was one of a kind. She was sweet, humble, gentle, caring, loving, generous, a caregiver to many, and possessed a pure innocence that’s very rare this day and time.  She sang old southern gospel hymns on the radio as a young girl, and at age 94, continued to sing praises to her Lord to all that would listen.  Never a vain word or gossip was heard coming from her lips.    She was the epitome of a Godly, Christian woman and as close to a lady as there’s ever been.  Her love for her family and her Saviour, Jesus Christ, was displayed in her life up until the day He took her home! She was a jewel that shone bright in this dark world.  She will be greatly missed; however, she is now singing in heaven with her loved ones, and we here below will be reunited with her again soon!

She was preceded in death by her husband, K.T. Walker, two daughters, Betty Jean Walker and Carolyn Walker Mills.

Survivors include a daughter, Diana Wood (Dothan, AL); granddaughters, LaDonna Thompson (Paige), Dothan, AL; Amanda Hughins (David), Skipperville, AL; Rhonda Andrews (Rex), Ozark, AL; grandsons, Darren Wood, Dothan, AL; Paul Mills, South Carolina; Ray Mills (Cari) Texas. Greatgrandchildren include Caleb Smothers, Aaron Smothers, Adam Smothers, Hannah Smothers, Marietta, GA; Caraline Hughins and Easton Hughins, Skipperville, AL; Meg Andrews, Rex Allen Andrews, II, and Avery Andrews, Ozark, AL.

Pallbearers include, Ed Willis, Newton, AL; Sammy Willis, Newton, AL; Gary Gunter, Ozark, AL; Rex Andrews, Ozark, AL; Paige Thompson, Dothan, AL; Ben Moore, Arguta, AL; David Hughins, Skipperville, AL.  Honorary pall bearer is Darren Wood.
