Mr. Alfred Herrington of Coffee Springs passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the family residence.  He was 84.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Bruce Williams and Amy Parrish officiating.  Burial will follow in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  Pallbearers will be Will Mathis, Zack Mathis, Derek Weeks, Chris Herrington, and Cody Herrington.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 10:00 and continuing until service time.

Mr. Herrington was born January 20, 1930 in Coffee County to the late Thomas H. and Annie J. Johnson Herrington.  He was a member of Goodman Baptist Church.

Survivors include 4 brothers and sisters: Shirley O’Connor, Mazie (Don) Hartford, Harry Herrington, and Frank Herrington, all of Coffee Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
