Mr. Alonzo Edward Hailes, age 58, a resident of Dothan died Saturday April 27, 2013 at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness.

 

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Pastor J. Curtis Harvey officiating and Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.

 

Mr. Hailes was born on May 30, 1954 in PA., the son of Joseph Lewis and Annie Laura Hailes.  Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a prison warden in Albuquerque, NM.

 

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother; Joseph Lewis Hailes.

 

Survivors include his son, Douglas Small, Los Lunas, NM; five sisters, Shari L. Calhoun, Montgomery, Lovonette H. Liggett, Dothan, Angela D. Hailes, Newport News, VA, Artamease Hailes, San Antonio, TX and Cassandra Hailes, Montgomery; one brother, Sedrick Hailes, Montgomery; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
