Alva E. “Buddy” Lominack, age 79, of Dothan passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.



 



Mr. Lominack was born on August 25, 1935 in Ashford, AL to the late Benjamin and Nolie Lominack. A graduate of the University of South Florida, Al had a prosperous career with the FBI until his retirement in 1992. Those who knew and loved Al would tell you he had a larger than life personality. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener.



 



In addition to his parents, Mr. Lominack was preceded in death by his twin daughters and a brother, Edward Lominack.



 



Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ora Lominack; his daughters, Gretchen (Jason) McDonald of Verbena, AL and Heidi (Casey) Boone of Powder Springs, GA; two grandsons, Logan McDonald and Will Boone; one step-granddaughter, Abigail Boone; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Adkison of Dothan and Bennie Merle Jackson of Ashford; and a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.



  


Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tommy White officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time Monday, February 23, 2015.


 


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Pathway Baptist Church, 3551 Flowers Chapel Road, Dothan, AL 36305.
