Amanda Olean Willingham Wallace, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Henry County Health and Rehab.  She was 94 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm.


Mrs. Wallace was born on August 22, 1921 in Tuscaloosa, Al to James E. and Naomi Sims Willingham.  Following her high school graduation she worked as a bookkeeper in the Birmingham area.  She married Roy Wallace on October 12, 1950. They moved to Panama Canal Zone in 1952 where they lived and raised a family until 1980 upon which time they retired to Dothan, Al.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Dothan.


Mrs. Wallace is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy Wallace, her parents and a sister, Myra Lawson.  She is survived by her children, Randy Wallace, Beaufort, SC and Steve (Sheila) Wallace, Dothan; three grandchildren, Jared Wallace, Birmingham, Al, Tyler Wallace, Dothan, and Kristen Wallace, Tuscaloosa, Al; two sisters, Lorene Byram, El Centro, CA, and Leora Harkey, Adger, Al and one sister-n-law, Elizabeth Lawley, Birmingham and several nieces and nephews.
