Ann Peacock Grice, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Kinsey, died early Saturday morning, May 9, 2015, at Flowers Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 73.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in the Kinsey Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Adams officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Kinsey Cemetery with Reverend Kyle Gatlin officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The Ark, 475 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama 36301.


            Mrs. Grice was born and reared in Webb, daughter of the late J.C. and Estelle  Peacock. She was a 1959 graduate of  Houston County High School.  Mrs. Grice lived most of her adult lifetime in Kinsey, before moving to Dothan. She was a faithful member of  Grace Harvest Church. Mrs. Grice was preceded in death by her loving  husband of 51 years, Reverend Robert E. Grice, founder of The Ark and pastor of Grace Harvest Church. ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Mrs. Grice was a loving person to all who knew her. She devoted her life to serving others and traveled extensively with her husband on mission trips to Australia, Mexico and New Zealand. Together, she and her husband, Robert, lived superb Christian lives, helping others in need.


            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Ann-Marie Schwarz (Mark), Dothan; a son,  Dr. Robert L. (Bo) Grice (Denita), Kinsey; her twin sister, Annice Ethridge (Monroe), Dothan; six grandchildren, Gabriella Schwarz, Chamberlain Schwarz, Heather Harbuck, Melissa Grice, Taylor Grice and Robbie Grice; a great-grandson, Brody Harbuck; a sister-in-law, Mary Grice Walker (Larry), Abbeville; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including May Meredeth, Ronnie Peacock and Lucy Summers.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Tony Kenward, Mike Walker, Mickey Walker, Mark Walker, Michael Douglas, and Robbie Grice.

To the family of Ann Grice, we are saddened to hear of Ann's passing and wish to honor her for the blessing she has been to all at Faith Training Center of Walhalla, South Carolina. We rejoice over her promotion to glory and the joy she now has in being with her Robert and the Lord she loved. Pastor Graeme Enright.
