Annette Price Brannon


Annette Price Brannon, of Dothan, passed away, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Westside Terrace after an extended illness. She was 89.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Byrd Funeral Home with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dothan First United Methodist Church Worship Enhancement Project for Handicap Accessibility.


Annette Price was born in 1925 in Geneva, Alabama to the late Andrew Jackson and Annie Mae Ross Price. She grew up in Geneva where she met and married Joe Fred Brannon on June 1, 1946. Her husband died in 1996. Mrs. Brannon was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her yard and flowers. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church for over 60 years.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Fred Brannon; five brothers, A.D. Price, Rex Price, Jerry Price, A.J. Price, Jr. and Jack Price; and one sister, Edna Lou Coates.


Survivors include her son, Fred (Jo) Brannon of Dothan; two grandson, Ross (Stacy) Brannon of Tallahassee, FL and Clint (Summer) Brannon of Acworth, GA; four great-grandchildren, Annaliese, Elijah, Elliot and Evangeline Brannon, all of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Kellon (Joy) Price of Geneva; one sister, Emma Jean Vaughn of Geneva; and one sister-in-law, Dot Brannon of Dothan.


Thankful appreciation goes to the staff of Westside Terrace, Covenant Hospice and special caregivers, Paula Snell and Sherry Flowers.
