Ms. Beatrice "Judy" Smith Floyd, age 70, a resident of Dothan died Tuesday October 29, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday November 2, 2013 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Karl Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Madrid City Cemetery with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted.

Ms. Floyd was born on May 15, 1943 in Dale County the daughter of William Amons Smith and Thelma Raye Howard Smith.  She worked as a seamstress with Hedstrom, Dothan Hosiery and Warners.  Ms. Floyd was a 1961 Graduate of Cottonwood High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Howard Earl Smith and Hughie Wilburn Smith.

Survivors include: two sons, Steven Edwards, Sr., Dothan; Jeff Floyd (Kate), Chipley, FL.; sister, Nina Chumney, Madrid; brother, Bo Smith, Dothan; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Chris, Patsy, Austin and Heather Ryan, Darien, WI. and Nell Trawick, Cottonwood.

Pallbearers will be: Jeff Floyd, Steven Edwards, Sr., Justin Edwards, Austin Ryan, Steven Edwards, Jr., Chris Ryan and William Smith.
