Benjamin Paul Bagwell, age 78, of Dothan passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016.

 

Mr. Bagwell was born to the late Wilburn and Eva Bagwell on September 8, 1937.  He was a devoted husband to Joanne Bagwell for 56 years and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Benjamin was both an Alabama fan and an Atlanta Braves fan.

 

Along with his parents Mr. Bagwell was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

 

Mr. Bagwell is survived by his wife, Joanne Bagwell of Dothan, AL; daughter, Paige Berry (Phillip) of Dothan, AL; two sons, Benny Bagwell (Rhonda) of Troy, AL, Shane Bagwell (Tanja) of North Port, FL, brother, Kenneth Bagwell (Jean) of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Emily Shehane, Stacey Bagwell, Nikki Pearson, Baylie Bagwell, Daniel Bagwell, Jacey Bagwell, Tyler Berry, Brandon Berry, Dalton Simmons, Christa Douglas, Nadia Douglas and great-grandchildren, Kacen Simms, Laura Berry, Brody Shehane.

 

Memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 PM prior to the service.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice at 2740 Headland Ave Dothan, AL 36303.
