Mrs. Betty Anne Milton Leslie, age 66, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Enterprise and Ozark) died Saturday June 22, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

 

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.   The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Hwy., Suite 2, Dothan, Alabama 36303.

 

Mrs. Leslie was born on October 17, 1946 in Lake Wales, Florida the daughter of Hubert E. Milton and Grace Christine Payne Milton.  Mrs. Leslie graduated from Chiefland High School in Chiefland, FL. then graduated from Valdosta State University and earned her Masters Degree from Troy State University.  After 32 years, she retired as a fifth grade teacher, having taught many of those years in Ft. Rucker. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph D. Leslie (1997) and a brother, Joseph P. Milton (2011).

 

Survivors include: daughter, Christie Fables, Dothan; son, Joseph Patrick Leslie (Laura), Ft. Myers, FL.; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Fables, Ashland; Cole Leslie, Ft. Myers, FL.; Hayden Leslie, Ft. Myers, FL.; a sister, Susan Moreland, Okeechobee, FL.; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan is in charge of the arrangements.
