GRACEVILLE, FLORIDA. . .Betty White Henderson, a former resident of Greenville, South Carolina, died Saturday night, February 14, 2015, in the Signature HealthCARE of North Florida in Graceville. She was 84.

            There are no memorial services planned at this time.

            Mrs. Henderson was born and reared in Belton, South Carolina, daughter of the late Aaron Harper White and Carrie Lee Rowland White. She lived most of her lifetime in Greenville, S.C. before moving to the nursing facility in 2013. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Agnew Road Baptist Church in Greenville. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sam Poe Lodge 23, Greenville, where she served as a Grand Matron and in several other capacities within the Eastern Star. Mrs. Henderson formerly served as Travel Organizer for the Westwood Terrace Community Club in Greenville. In earlier years, she baked, decorated, and catered wedding cakes for numerous weddings for her nieces.

            Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. (Joe) Henderson, two infant children, Phillip Todd Henderson and Vanessa Jo Henderson, and a sister, Almeria Holland.

            Surviving relatives include a son, Michael Alexander Henderson, Graceville, FL; a sister, Ella Mae Scarborough, Belton, SC;  a brother, William L. White, Williamston, SC; a special aunt, Ruth Branyon, Honeapath, SC; a special uncle, Ray Rowland, Greenville, SC; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, who were her caregivers, Julie Ann and Melvin Henderson, Cottonwood.
