Mrs. Beulah Jean (Boots) Dutton, age 84, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Wesley Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 26, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel, 725 S. Daleville, Ave., Daleville, AL, with Pastors Lee Jones and John McCullough officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 231 North, Ozark, AL.  Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Daleville Chapel.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Manor, 718 Honeysuckle Rd., Dothan, AL, Daleville First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Daleville Ave., Daleville, AL, or Gentiva Hospice.

Boots was born October 8, 1931, in Pensacola, Florida.  She and her family moved to Daleville in 1959.  She was a member of Daleville First United Methodist Church.  She was a homemaker, extraordinaire, but also worked with H&R Block and volunteered in the office at her church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dutton, her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her son, Jim (Kathy) Dutton, Austin, TX, daughter, Kay (Mark) Shope, Dothan, AL, grandchildren, Bryan Dutton, Austin, TX, Ginny (Rory) Fowler, Hoover, AL, Troy (Jacquelyn) Shope, Dothan, AL; great-grandsons, Hayes Lee Fowler, Branch Edward Fowler, Dawson James Bruno and Lucas Monroe Shope.  She is also survived by three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wesley Manor and Gentiva Hospice for providing such loving care and comfort for our mother and our family during her illness.
