Mr. Billy Ray Brannon of Westville, Florida passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016.  He was 80.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Charles Barton and Rev. Wayne Brannon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time.

Mr. Brannon was born December 23, 1935, in Holmes County, Florida to the late Richard Angus and Ada Barton Brannon.  His favorite pastime was fishing.  He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, a sister, Betty Sue Brannon Purvis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine King Brannon of Westville; two sons: David Brannon (JaLisa)  and Bobby Ray Brannon, both of Bonifay; two step children: Rena Welch and Steve Gillman both of Westville; four sisters: Ida Mae (Emmitt) Huggins of Pace, Olean Powell (Jimmy), Christina Cosimato (Michael) all of Westville, and Linda Kay Lucas (Lee) of Talbotton, GA; two brothers: Angus Dewayne Brannon (Cindy) and Roger Dale Brannon (Doris) all of Westville; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Brannon, Tyler Brannon, Trace Brannon, Caleb Brannon, Waylon Welch and Jacob Gillman. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Bowers, Ronnie Bowers, H.R. Harrison, Lewis Powell, Gary Newell, and Jimmy Stafford.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Emerald Coast Hospice as well as nurses, Cindy Pippin, Jennifer Glass, Amy Nix, Danielle Jones, and Kayla Ratliff for the special care that was given to Mr. Brannon.
