Mr. Bobby H. Mathis of Pansey passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his residence. He was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lynn Miley and Dr. John Mouery officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Brinson, GA with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday, October 24, 2014. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice 104 Rockbridge Rd, Dothan, AL 36303 or to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Highway 81 Gordon, AL 36343.

Mr. Mathis was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a Staff Sgt in the United States Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carlos Mathis and Eura Hall Mathis, wife Betty Mathis, two brothers Charles Mathis and Carl Mathis.

Survivors include daughter Cathy Brunson and her husband Neal of Pansey; son Ronnie Williams and his wife Yvette of Cottonwood; sisters Mary Evelyn Hodges and her husband Larry of Dothan; Dorothy Raley of PA; brother Theo Mathis and his wife Janice of Columbus, GA; grandchildren Ronnie Williams, Jr. Ryan( Michelle) Brunson, and Summer Dunham

Pallbearers will be Ryan Brunson, Ronnie Williams, Jr., David Cannon, Sydney Mathis, Mark Mathis, and Michael Mathis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wondell Culbreth, Joe Phillips, and Lawrence Mathis.
