            Bobby Ray Bailey, Sr., a resident of Abbeville, died late Saturday morning, September 26, 2015, in a Dothan hospital. He was 65.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 28, 2015, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ricky Sowell and Reverend Jerome Harbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the mortuary in Abbeville.


            Bobby Bailey was a native of Columbus, Georgia but lived all his life in Abbeville. He was retired, due to disability, as a carpenter in residential and commercial construction. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, C.O. Bailey.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Dorothy Burch Bailey, Abbeville; a daughter, Diana Reid (Darrell), Dothan; two sons, Bobby Ray Bailey, Jr. (Angela), Abbeville; and Rodney Bailey, Dothan; his mother, Inez Smith Bailey, Abbeville; a brother, Curley Bailey (Carol), Headland; three step-daughters, Lynn Kirkland, Eufaula; Kim Simons and Nikki Solorzano, both of Abbeville; fifteen grandchildren, Anthony Bailey (Courtney), Colby Carroll, Charity Bailey, Tifani Bailey, Dara Reid, Kylie Reid, Matthew Kirkland (Breanna), Brandi Kaperak (David), Chris Kirkland (Brittney), Caselin Simons, Cayla Simons, Brittney Dixon, Shay Solórzano, Haley Solórzano and Victor "AJ" Solorzano; eleven great-grandchildren.
