Ms. Brenda Louise Weeks Marler of Sandspur Road, Westville, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.  She was 52.


Funeral services will 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Ben Barton and Rev. Clyde Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Leonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 13, from 6 until 8 p.m.


Brenda, affectionately known as “Candy Lady” was born November 11, 1960 in Geneva County, Alabama.  She loved the children at church and was very devoted to her family and friends.  She was a member of the World Wide Evangelist Outreach.


Her mother, Annie Pearl Seay Kersey, a brother, James C. Weeks, Jr., two half-brothers: Wayne and Jerry Powell, as well as her grandparents, Malcolm and Cora Lee Weeks and Shelby M. and Eunice Seay all preceded her in death.


Survivors include her father and step mother, James Coleman, Sr. and Ruth Weeks, Westville; three sisters: Janet Marie Hewett (William), Ponce de Leon, Sharon Weeks (Jimmy), Coffee Springs and Patricia Ann English (Ferrell), Westville; one step brother, Michael Yeagley, Darlington; several special nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
