ECHO COMMUNITY. . .Brother Eugene Trawick, a resident of the Echo Community, went to be with his Lord and Savior, early Monday morning, October 5, 2015, in the Dale Medical Center. He was 70.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2015, in the Living Water Church, Echo Community, with Pastor Chris Brown and Brother Rickey Devine officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Teresa Parker, 16 County Road 340, in the Echo Community.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Ewell Faith Deliverance Tabernacle, 3949 East Highway 27, Ozark, AL 36360.


            Brother Trawick was born December 22, 1944, and reared in Early County, Georgia, son of the late James Alto Trawick and Pansey Cherry Trawick. He lived most of his adult lifetime in the Echo Community of Dale County. Brother Trawick was currently serving as the Pastor of the Ewell Faith Deliverance Tabernacle in the Ewell Community. In earlier years, he was self-employed in the mobile home moving and installation business.  Brother Trawick loved talking about the Lord. He enjoyed farming and always had a produce and peanut stand. He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.


            Surviving relatives include the mother of his children, Brenda Bryan Trawick, Dothan; three daughters, Teresa Parker (Kent), Melody DeWolfe (Scott), all of the Echo Community; and Angela Braddy (Tim DeVaughn), Headland; a son, Michael Trawick, Echo Community; three sisters, Mavis Watson and Ruth Buckner, both of Blakely, GA; and Nancy Copeland, Arlington, GA; a brother, Jimmy Trawick (Jeanette), Echo Community; six grandchildren, Amelia Hitchcock (Patrick), Kristie Jackson (Clay), Blake York (Kendal), Whitney DeWolfe, Justin Braddy and Jacob Parker; a great-grandson on the way, Brayden John York.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Trawick, Scott DeWolfe, Kent Parker, Justin Braddy, Blake York and Billy Braddy.
