 Buddy Walker

Buddy Walker, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, November 3, 2013. He was 65.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street with Rev. Mike Pearson officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main street directing. The family will receive friends in the chapel following the memorial service.

Mr. Walker was born January 16, 1948 in Dale County, Alabama to Leon Edward and Dorothy Simmons Walker and lived the early years of his life in Eufaula. After his high school graduation, he entered the U.S. Marines and served two tours in Vietnam. He owned and operated Walker Construction Company in Eufaula for over 20 years. In  2005, he moved to Dothan where he resided the remainder of his life.

Mr. Walker is survived by two children, Ryan E. Walker of Daleville and Amanda Lynn Walker of Dothan; two grandchildren, Cason Gage Walker and Jace Rylen Walker; four sisters, Charlotte Turvin of Webb, Jill Gardner of Troy, Kathy Bennett of Eufaula and Debbie Stanford of Eufaula; one brother, Tim Walker of Eufaula; several other family members also survive.
