Buna Pearl Adams of Samson passed away Monday, May 19, 2014.  She was 97.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Greg Vorhees officiating.  Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice. 

Mrs. Adams was born in Coffee County, Ala. on February 25, 1917 to the late Tom and Cattie Johnson Jacobs.  She was preceded in death also by her husband, Ephran Adams; son, Rand Adams; and all of her siblings.  She was the last of her generation. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jimmie Sue Tabares; special grandchild, DeFaye McCollough, both of Samson; and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
