Carl E. Underwood, Jr. 69, a resident of Rehobeth, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at his residence.


Memorial services will be held 2 pm Monday October 28, 2013, Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Clark officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1pm until 2pm.


Mr. Underwood was born June 1, 1944 in Houston County and lived in Rehobeth all of his life. He was employed with UPS for 31 years prior to his retirement in 1997. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. His life revolved around his family. He coached little league baseball for several years while his grandchildren were playing. Mr. Underwood was a member of the Teamsters Union.


Survivors include his wife Janice Underwood; two sons, Carl (Kim)Underwood, III, and Courtenay Underwood; two daughters, Christy Underwood and Carmen (Troy) Hughes; grandchildren, Chayne McClendon, Cade Hughes, Caitlin Hughes, Casey Underwood, Tyler Underwood, Taylor Underwood, Carl Underwood, IV, and Caroline Underwood; a brother Wilson Underwood (Judy); a niece Keri Underwood.
