HEADLAND. . .Carlos Henry Armstrong, Jr., a former resident of Headland, died early Friday morning, October 10, 2014, in a Dothan hospital. He was 69.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 12, 2014, in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, between Headland & Columbia, with Reverend Ross Kilpatrick officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hebron Baptist Cemetery Fund, c/o E. M.  Glover, 6952 State Highway 134, East, Columbia, AL 36319 or to the Johnson Group Home, 1630 East County Road 4, Black, Alabama 36314.

            Carlos Henry Armstrong was a native of Headland, son of the late Carlos Henry Armstrong, Sr. and Willie Kirkland Armstrong. He formerly lived in Abbeville before moving to the Johnson Group Home, near Geneva, in 1996.

            Surviving relatives include a brother, Lawton Ed Armstrong (Nan), Abbeville; a niece, Lindsay Norton, two nephews, Jason Selva (Dawn), and Joseph Armstrong, an uncle, Joe Armstrong (Dethalia).
