Carolyn Jean Golden (nee Conrad), 70, of Geneva, AL passed away on July 28th after a four-year battle with cancer. Prior to moving to Geneva in the mid-2000s, Carole had lived in various places across southern Alabama and Northwest Florida, including Panama City, Dothan, Fort Deposit and Elba.  Despite her failing health, she was able to relocate to Nottinghamshire, England and spend her final 9 weeks with her only child, Commander Tony Cox, USNR, her daughter in law, Kate & her 2 grandsons.  Carole was cremated in a Christian ceremony in England, but in keeping with her wishes, her family will be holding a memorial service in Alabama before her remains are interred alongside her soul mate, the late Jerry Chalker.

The memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 at 4 p.m. at Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva.  The family will welcome guests at Borderline Krazy Mexican American Grill following the service.
