Carolyn J. Seay, 89, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Extendicare Health Care.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Gross officiating. Interment will be held later at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Friday.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Seay was born October 29, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to George and Josephine Ott. She lived there for over 40 years and in 1954, she married Charlie Robert Seay.

In 1968, she moved to Dothan and was employed with the State of Alabama for many years prior to her retirement in 1987. After retirement, she volunteered at both area hospitals. Mrs. Seay was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, a brother, George Ott and a sister, Fern Ray.

She is survived by a daughter, Leslie Vinson of Dothan; a son, Randy Seay (Jenny) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Katie Vinson, Ally Vinson, Stephanie Powell, Jessica Seay and Bobby Seay.
