PINCKARD. . .Carolyn Rosser Borland, a resident of Pinckard, died Sunday night, June 7, 2015, in the Wesley Manor Retirement Center. She was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, in the Pinckard Baptist Church with Reverend Ken Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinckard Memorial Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Pinckard Baptist Church, P.O. Box 188, Pinckard, AL 36371.
Mrs. Borland was born and reared in Newton, daughter of the late James Marcus Rosser and Esther Atkinson Rosser. She lived in Pinckard all her adult lifetime where she was a member of the Pinckard Baptist Church. Mrs. Borland was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Frank Borland, two brothers, Reverend Marcus Rosser and Jimmy Rosser.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Jennifer Borland Lowery (Wayne), Dothan; a grandson, Pearson Lowery; two sisters, Virginia Showalter (Don), Dothan; and Patricia Johnson, Newton; sisters-in-law, Arlene Rosser, Newton; and Lillian Goolsby Borland, Pinckard; a brother-in-law, Wallace Borland, Jr., Pinckard.
