Mr. Cecil Carl Sanders of Orchard Circle, Samson, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 06, 2014.  He was 87.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Donnie Earles officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.

Mr. Sanders was born August 5, 1926, in Mississippi to the late Benjamin Carl and Viola Richardson Sanders.  He attended Harvest Time Pentecostal Ministries.

In addition to his parents his wife Emma Lou Sanders preceded him in death on December 25, 1996.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Ray and Barbara Ann Sanders; a daughter and son-in-law, Fay and Benny Gibson, all of Samson; five grandchildren: Tony Sanders, Timmy Sanders (Lagina), Tracy Sanders (Jill), Sheila Dillon (Carl) and Jenny Linck (Kevin); five great-grandchildren: Tyler Sanders, Megan Sanders Pridgen (Jody), Stetson Sanders, Amanda Hughes (Damion) and Tonya Bell; five great-great-grandchildren: Logan Pridgen, Preston Bell, Emma, Samantha and Andrew Hughes; other extended family and friends.
