Charlene Rozar, 59, a resident of Ozark passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at a local hospital.


Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Crosby officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.


Charlene was born October 1, 1956 in Cheverly, MD and lived the early part of her life in the Baltimore area. She moved to the Ft. Rucker and Ozark area in the early 1990's and worked for Lyster Hospital for over 20 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed going to yard sales and volunteering with local missions groups, as well as arts and crafts, music, gardening, and hanging out with her dog Max. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Margaret Smith, and her siblings, Manny, Boozie, and Peggy.


Survivors include her sons, George (Amanda) Dewald, Jr. and Chris (Angela) Rozar, Jr.; a granddaughter, Morgan Rozar; brothers and sisters, Hossey, Barbara, Shirley, and Joyce Ann; nieces, Shelly Critzer and Kelly Jo Smith; a special friend Ida Luckett; and her canine companion, Max.
