Charles Daffin Talley, a resident of Gordon, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013. He was 87.

 

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Gordon City Cemetery with Reverend Willie Parker officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2013 prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Talley served for over 22 years and was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a M/Sgt. He also was a scuba diving instructor in Clearwater, FL.

 

He is survived by his companion, Sarah Williams Dean of Gordon; three sons, Dwight Talley of Washington State; Stephen Talley of Washington State; Glen Talley of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Mary Frances   of California; one brother, Herbert Talley of Tallahassee, FL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
