Charles Dick White left his earthly home Monday, January 14, 2013, to join his Lord and Savior in his new heavenly home.  He was 60.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Bethel United Methodist Church near Echo with Rev. Danny Gilroy officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time Wednesday. Burial will be Thursday, January 17, in Crittenden Memorial Park, Marion, Arkansas.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Dick White Memorial Playground Fund, c/o Janet Brooks, 7300 E. County Road 36, Ozark, AL  36360.


Dick White was born June 21, 1952 in West Memphis, Arkansas, son of Wallace Willard and Betty Johnson White.  Dick was employed in agricultural sales for 25 years and was currently employed with A-One Tire in Dothan, AL.  He was a devoted member of Bethel United Methodist Church and Bethel UMC Men’s Club.  His passions included serving the Lord, spending time with his grandchildren, and being “PawPaw” to all the children of Bethel UMC.  He was preceded in death by his father.


Survivors include his mother, Betty White, of Jackson, TN; one daughter, Brandy W. Hughes, and her husband, Stacey, of Echo, AL; two well-loved grandchildren, Blake and Alex Hughes, of Echo, AL; one sister, Susan Ford, and her husband, Dennis, of Collierville, TN; one brother, Joe White, and his wife, Mary Ann, of Jackson, TN; one niece and five nephews.


Serving as pallbearers will be Jody Hughes, Heath Hughes, Keith Richardson, Jared Long, Steve Hughes, and Tommy McKenzie.
