Mr. Charles Glen Bowden of Samson, AL passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. He was 82.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Corner Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Bowden officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mr. Bowden was born in Geneva County, AL on November 28, 1933 to the late Charlie Cleveland “C.C.” and Sheppie Horn Bowden. Mr. Bowden loved being outdoors and hunting, but he was especially passionate about fishing. He was a man of great wisdom, always improving life through his vast knowledge of math. Many tracts of land will forever bear his legacy through his work as a surveyor.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Madelyn Bowden.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Bowden of Samson, AL, and Holly Grimsley (Jimbo) of Enterprise, AL; one son, Eric Bowden (Regina) of Samson, AL; four grandchildren, Brandon Wilder (Stephanie) of Enterprise, AL, Jessica Foreman (Greg) of Headland, AL, Matthew Wilder of Brechenridge, CO, and Erin Bowden of Samson, AL; two great granddaughters, Olivia Leighton and Alana River Wilder both of Enterprise, AL; one brother, Joe Bowden (Vickye) of Samson, AL; one sister, Sally Lancaster (George) of Dothan, AL.
