CHARLES  TERRY  SELLERS

DOTHAN. . .Charles Terry Sellers, of Dothan, a native of Headland, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012. He was 67.

             Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with a nephew, Chaplain Dusty Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Headland, “Bridge to Tomorrow” Building Fund, 301 East Church Street, Headland, AL 36345.

            Terry Sellers was born and reared in Headland, son of the late J.C. Sellers and Blanche Hasty Sellers. He was a 1964 graduate of Headland High School. Upon graduation from high school, Terry received a football scholarship from the University of Georgia where he later graduated with a degree in business administration. He played for Coach Vince Dooley as a defensive back earning All-Southeastern Conference honors and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. Terry formerly owned and operated three Western Sizzlin steak houses in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Headland. Terry was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Sellers Gray and Jane Sellers Snell.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Loren Elyse Ellison Sellers, Dothan; three daughters, Jenna Sellers Miller and husband, Bryan, Delray Beach, FL, Shellie Elyse Miller, Foley, AL; and Kristyn Elizabeth Tew and husband, Riley, Dothan; two brothers, James H. (Bubba) Sellers and wife, Sue, Dothan; Jerry Mackey Sellers and wife, Cheryl, Headland; brother-in-law, Bill Snell, Headland; five grandchildren, Jackson Miller, Harper Joy Miller, Madison Elyse Bright, Hailey Elizabeth and Harper Joy Tew; several nieces and nephews, Lane Sellers, Suzanne Worthy, Greg Tate, Tim Tate, Tod Tate, Tony Gray, Dusty Gray, Chap Gray, and Brentson Sellers.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Brentson Sellers, Greg Tate, Tim Tate, Lane Sellers, Michael Tate, and John Gray.
