            Mr. Charles Thomas of Coffee Springs, Alabama passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.  He was 80. 

            A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 22, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Bruce officiating. 

            Mr. Thomas was born June 15, 1932 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Alvin and Myrtle Arnold Thomas.  He was retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service.  He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Thomas and a daughter, Ruth Ann Thomas. 

            Survivors include his wife, Ramona Thomas of Coffee Springs, AL; 2 sons: Bobby Thomas (Joye) of Loganville, GA and Harry Thomas (Joy) of Enterprise, AL; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and an uncle, Gene Arnold of Hartford, AL.
