CHARLES  THOMAS  BARBAREE,  Jr.

PINCKARD. . .Charles Thomas (Tommy) Barbaree, Jr., a resident of Pinckard, died Tuesday morning, May 27, 2014 in Flowers Hospital . He was 55.

            Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 1, 2014, in the Pinckard Baptist Church, with Reverend Roger Stone officiating.  Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the church sanctuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alabama Wildlife Federation, 3050 Lanark Road, Millbrook, AL 36064.

            Mr. Barbaree, a native and lifelong resident of Pinckard, was the son of the late Charles Thomas Barbaree, Sr. and Anne Elizabeth Borland Barbaree. He was a 1978 graduate of Dale County High School. Mr. Barbaree was retired from United Parcel Service in Dothan after twenty-six years of employment.

            Surviving relatives include two sisters, Laura Anne Barbaree Bowers and her husband, Steven Bowers, of Evans, WV and Elizabeth Barbaree-Tasker and her husband, Eric Tasker, of Birmingham; one niece, Anne Maison Barbaree Tasker; three nephews, Jared Brandon Bowers, Matthew Steven Bowers, and Markus Drake Barbaree Tasker.

            Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ray Brown, Becky Morgan, Wes Morgan, Darryl Stewart, Jeff Johnson, his fishing buddies and the “parking lot crew” at UPS.

            Tommy had three great loves- bird watching, bass fishing and Auburn football. His relentless sense of humor and endearing spirit will be greatly missed.
